Job Information

The Head of Commercial, EMEA will drive commercial and strategic activity within Europe, Middle East and Africa.  Engaging with airlines, OEMs and counterparties at the most senior level, the Head of Commercial EMEA will cement a strategic aircraft placement plan and path to growth within the territory.  A key member of the senior Commercial Team, the successful candidate will build upon CDB’s success to date, maintain the company’s customer-centric approach to the market and build and develop a robust team to cover the region.

  • Key member of the Commercial Team helping to form and propel CDB Aviation’s regional EMEA strategy
  • Senior regional representative and key channel of communication to the C-suite ensuring that they have a transparent and accurate view of the region
  • Primary responsibility for the business results derived from the EMEA regiona and providing leadership to all undertakings within that jurisdiction to underpin the growth and profitability of the business within agreed formats and timescales
  • Handling used/new aircraft placement and new portfolio business including origination, LOI preparation, negotiation and execution tasks within the region and supporting and guiding team members in regional campaigns
  • Promote and foster a team culture consistent with CDB Aviation’s high performance culture and ensure that the region is adequately resourced for the future


Skills and Professional Experience

  • The successful candidate will have an exceptional track record within the region and be an established industry expert with an extensive network of airline, financial institution and OEMs contacts at the highest levels. A strong transaction list is a prerequisite
  • A thorough understanding of all aspects of structuring complex cross-border transactions and leading a cross-functional deal team to achieve the best possible outcome for CDB Aviation
  • A proven track record in sourcing and closing opportunities and transactions on behalf of a leading lessor



  • An adaptable and creative team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver results under pressure to tight deadlines and to contribute at a senior level
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Will have a strong customer focus and experience of negotiating contracts at the highest level
  • Transparent individual who builds trust at all levels both internally and externally


Education Level

  • Degree educated or equivalent in either finance, legal, engineering or another relevant discipline
