CDB Aviation Completes Deliveries of Five A321neo Aircraft to LATAM
Aircraft Enhance Airline’s Fleet Flexibility with Next-generation, Efficient Aircraft
SANTIAGO, Chile – September 8, 2026 – CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (“CDB Leasing”), announced the completion of a delivery mandate for five Airbus A321-271NX aircraft with LATAM Airlines Group S.A. (“LATAM;” NYSE: LTM; SSE: LTM).
The five aircraft, powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, were delivered under the leasing agreements executed with LATAM in 2025, bringing the total of the lessor’s A321neos on lease to the carrier to six aircraft.
“We are pleased to have delivered the last of five (5) A321neo aircraft to LATAM Airlines Group, a global leader in the airline industry and relatively new, yet highly valued, customer for CDB Aviation.’’ commented Jorge Garcia, CDB Aviation’s Senior Vice President, Commercial, Americas. “With this transaction, we are delighted to further deepen our existing relationship with the largest airline in South America.”
The deliveries advanced LATAM’s network flexibility strategy that is focused on diversifying its fleet with modern, fuel-efficient aircraft to achieve lower operating costs and reduce carbon emissions, while utilizing the A321neo’s extended range to operate economically viable direct routes from across its South American network to destinations in the Caribbean and North America.
“This transaction reinforces CDB Aviation’s expanding footprint and commercial outreach across the fast-growing Latin American aviation sector. With air travel’s upward momentum across the region, our team continues to pursue outreach campaigns to enable South American carriers, like LATAM, to seize on market expansion opportunities,” concluded Garcia.
