Gavan Daly is Head of Commercial, EMEA at CDB Aviation, with responsibility for the company’s commercial strategy, airline relationships, and transaction execution across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He leads the origination and delivery of lease placements, extensions, and asset trades, working directly with airline customers to support fleet planning, operational resilience, and sustainable growth.
Since joining CDB Aviation in 2017, Gavan has held a number of senior commercial leadership roles and has executed a broad range of aircraft leasing and trading transactions across multiple aircraft types and market segments. He is recognised for disciplined deal structuring, strong execution, and building long-term airline partnerships across both mature and emerging markets.
Gavan works closely with internal technical, legal, and risk teams to deliver commercially robust transactions aligned with CDB Aviation’s risk and return objectives. He holds a Postgraduate Specialist Diploma in Aviation Leasing & Finance from the University of Limerick and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and German from The University of Dublin, Trinity College.
