Position Title: Procurement Director (AVP)
Location: Dublin
Job Information (incl. essential functions):
Reporting to the SVP of Procurement, the Procurement Director (AVP) will work with OEM, MRO, after-market suppliers and the Transaction & Transition Team and wider New Aircraft Team to establish and verify the customer unique configuration for CDB Aviation owned aircraft. This will be done with an eye towards future marketability of the aircraft and in a way that allows for appropriate accounting of all related recurring and non-recurring costs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide purchasing, planning and budgetary support for the Transaction & Transition Team and wider Technical Team on all component requirements when transitioning aircraft from one lessee to the another
- Find cost effective component solutions through utilizing the consignment stock
- Assist the Technical Managers to control all MRO component costs and minimize expenditure where possible.
- Support the Engineering Manager to source components required for cabin upgrade and provide cost effective solutions for cabin reconfigurations.
- Liaise regularly with CDB consignment partner to ensure all excess material is correctly accounted for and all surplus spares are returned from the MRO
- Manage complex client, vendor, and manufacturer relationships.
- Ensure equipment availability for target aircraft delivery dates.
- Coordinate closely with CDBA Marketing, Technical and Finance Teams as well as with the OEMs and Airlines.
- Evaluate and negotiate price proposals for all major and minor equipment (seats / galleys, IFE & safety).
- Identify offers that meet aircraft schedules and pricing objectives for new and used aircraft by reviewing quotes and lead-time information from suppliers.
- Negotiate General Terms Agreements with vendors.
Role Requirements:
- Degree educated in business, technical or another relevant subject.
- 5years + experience in a similar role ideally within the leasing environment, however suitable aircraft operator/MRO purchasing, and configuration experience may also be considered.
- New aircraft configuration and BFE procurement experience is preferrable
- Good attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving under pressure.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills across all levels and functions.
- Strong analytical skills and a clear understanding of airworthiness requirements (FAA/ EASA / CAAC) and compliance processes.
- IT savvy with very good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Work well both independently and as part of a growing team.
